Great contest!

This is one epic photo! Right moment at the right time! The separation between the foreground and the background really brings up the subject really well! How you capture the cranes are just beautiful, showing off their wings as they're playing (or whatever they're doing). Impressive!

This is the perfect description of winter wonderland! The fog gives it a mysterious and majestic feel, the cranes gave the photography life, and the snow just makes everything harmonize perfectly together! This is one majestic morning for sure, the photo is just simply stunning! Well done!

Love the use of the tilt shift! It makes Shinjuku crossing looks like a display model. It gives a unique look at the city that people has seen millions of times.

Great composition on this one! Love the simple background, yet it adds so much to it. This capture really showcase the beauty of geisha, and the beauty of the dance. The color blends so perfectly as well, where the subject stands out yet fits so nicely with that warm yellow background. Well Done!

Love the color and the composition on this one! This photograph captures the spring time in Kyoto to me. A little of vignette gives more focus on the maiko-san, let her stood out from the cherry blossom, yet they blend in perfectly! Well done!

The color on this one is what draws me to the photo. The long exposure capture really helps with separation between sky and the water surface. The photo itself is stunning already, let alone experience it in person! It is surely something to remember forever! Thanks for participating in this contest! Well done!

There's one thing I can say about this photograph: Clean. The composition, the snow, the color. I can imagine myself looking at this in person, feeling otherworldly and enjoy the Hokkaido in winter vibe! The color accent on the ship really separate the subject from the background despite the ships' primary color is white! Well done!

Dreamy. That's the first word that comes to my mind. Love the use of long exposure on the waves, makes the torii seems like it's above cloud! The gradient applied to the sky adds the mysterious feeling to it. The torii's red instantly draws my eyes towards it, being the only warm color in the photo. Thanks for submitting this piece of art!

The reflections, the calmness in the lake, the distant mountains. I would love to sit there and enjoy the calm scenery! The Mt. Yotei in the distance makes it the cherry on top! This is just such a peaceful photo that captures the nature in Hokkaido. Congrats and thanks for participating in this contest!

I feels like I'm looking an experienced traveler who has a lot of great stories to share! This photograph gives me a vibe of the way of life in Japan. Mount Fuji in the background being captured perfectly, just chef's kiss on the composition itself. Well done!

Beautiful long exposure shot with plenty of pretty sunstars! Dogo Onsen really highlight the architecture of Japanese building! I honestly was expecting to see some diffraction due to f22, but it it's barely visible! I like the color grading, utilizing the blue in the shadow, which brings up the warm yellow-orange light coming from the onsen, it makes a good compliment among the colors. Well done!
