Right away when I saw this picture, I had a big feeling that it would be in my top ten. The reasons for this is because there are so many things here! Really this photo is just of a parking lot and the cement wall, but the flooding and the graffiti makes it so incredible. My favorite thing in this picture are the colors! All of the people who painted the cement really used beautiful colors that really popped in this picture. That is why this picture is so good because you have to really look at this picture for a long time to figure out what is here. Just looking at the graffiti takes a long time, then after that you notice how perfect the reflections are, and then you see the the parking lines still showing from underneath the water! I didn't notice them until after a while of looking at the photograph. The reflections are great because it magnifies all of the graffiti and makes the photo even more confusing to look at! This photo would just be a nice simple shot, but because of how everything got combined here, it made an ordinary shot, be extraordinary! Great job on your photo and ninth place!!!
This photo is such a great example of perspective and how interesting photos like this one can really play with our eyes and trick our minds! All you did here was flip the image to get this effect and it really makes it look like the people are standing the proper way and that something is in front of them and covering them. And the way that you can't exactly see their faces makes it look like a painting as most paintings have faces that the viewer is not perfectly able to make out. I also like how some of the ground is reflecting the gray sky and not what is around them. I like this because by only having the two people reflected in the entire photograph, it makes our eyes focus on just them and makes it a nice minimalistic photograph. I think the gray color must have come from the clouds above and it really changed the atmosphere of this picture! Your angling, your timing if you had to wait for these people to walk by while they were talking, your settings, and everything else as well was done really nicely! Well done on a fabulous image and having it be good enough for sixth place!
This photo is super pretty in so many ways. The fog slowly rolling over the lake is great and I love that you captured it while it was only partly over the lake. The low amount of light and its light blue color from the early morning sky gives it a peaceful feel. The trees and the large amount of them is so beautiful and makes the photo so much better and have more to it. And of course, the water reflecting it all is fabulous. I love everything about it and the way you captured it. Fabulous job on a fabulous photo and tenth place!
This is a fabulous photo that you have here! Immediately when I saw this photo it stood out because of so many things about it being very unique and interesting. I love how you captured the entrances and their reflections right in the center of the photograph as this is the main thing we see when looking at the photograph. By having it all in the middle, it really catches our eye. Another reason it stands out so much is because the rest of the image is either the dark sky or a very dim blue color on the upper part of the mosque. Whoever designed this mosque did a great job on the architecture and especially the lighting and I bet that they had just this type of effect in mind for when people looked at it. And now with the way that you captured it made it look even better than it probably looks in real life. Even though the main thing we notice when we first look at this image are the entrances, the wispy blue patterns towards the top of the mosque are very beautiful too. When light shines off of water and onto somewhere or something on land, it creates super beautiful patterns and that is exactly what it is doing here. What a cool design for this place! I wonder if all of this stuff was done on purpose when it was built. Fabulous job on your winning photo!
This is such a magnificent and peaceful image! I love everything here from the rich greens of the trees, to the deep blues in the mountains, the calm waters reflecting it all. The trees on both sides of the lake leads our eyes perfectly to all of the trees in back and to the gorgeous mountains in back. I love how still the water is and how it perfectly reflected everything. Then if you look way up, there are some nice little clouds floating about in the sky. There are so many great things about this place! Fabulous job on how you photographed it and for getting eighth place!
This is a super cool picture! Reflection pictures are so great and that's just the reason why I created this contest. I have never seen this giant "fish" before but it's a totally incredible design. It has strings, lights, great designs, and what makes it even better is that it is on water! It makes it better and it would be only half of a fish if it weren't reflected. You picked a great time to photograph it because of all the lights being on the fish but yet also that there is still some light in the sky and super nice colors too which is also getting reflected, not just the fish. You did a wonderful job photographing this fish by getting it at the right time of day, the right angle, photographing it with the right settings, etc. Everything looks really good. Congratulations on a fabulous photo that definitely deserved fourth place!
This photo you've taken here is super nice as it is a perfect photo that depicts a peaceful winter scene. A nice little bit of water, some big trees, snow all over, and a gorgeous building with pretty lights all over it. You did a great job making sure that all of the main reflections stayed in the frame. The photo would still be nice having more of just the things on land than in the water but I think having everything that you see on land reflected in the water magnifies everything and makes it look way better. And it definitely made it a way better entry for this contest! There are so many nice things that catches our eye in this shot that it is too hard to find all of them at just a glance. Photos like this are nice because you have to spend some time looking at it to try and find everything that is there. Just the building with the lights are great and that it kind of the main thing to this picture, but then you've got the water, the snow, and if you really look further, you've got an entire hill maybe mountain of giant trees and way in the distance is smoke or mist or snow falling or something. I really love photos that have lots of things to them like this one! Great job on your second place image!
Here's another great shot that has the reflections of all the main things that you see on land. Photos are great like this because I think having everything reflected as well as on land makes the photo more complex, makes us look at it longer, and also kind of gives the illusion that all of the things on land are twice as big. I love those colorful trees! Along with all the other great things here the beautiful trees immediately jump at our eyes with their bright colors, size, and of course, because they are reflected in the water! When you look at this photo more you see that there are tons of trees just like these in the distance which shows that this place must have been absolutely incredible to visit. I can't imagine being in one area with that many colorful trees around me like that! It's great that the mountains are big enough to be behind the trees so that way you can see them really good if you just look, also it's great that they are not so big that they draw our eyes away from the trees too. It's interesting how that little cabin is kind of tucked away into the trees! Whoever lives there sure is lucky. Looking at the photo some more I think I see a person walking up a path to their cabin. Two other things that are great about this picture are the sharpness and exposure of it. I love that this photo is super sharp and it shouldn't be any brighter or darker. Great job on those two things, everything else, and having captured good enough of a picture to get third place!

This photo here is one of the billions of great pictures that people have taken of spectacular rock formations in the Western areas of the country. I don't think that there is even one that is bad. No matter what you do to take a picture of rock formations, they always come out so beautiful, especially with the sun shining directly on them. Your photo here is so much better than most of them though because of the angle, the position the sharpness, the brightness, etc. You did a fabulous job on everything. Those patterns in the rock on each side act as leading lines to draw our eyes into the center of the photograph to the main rock formation that is the brightest one of the photograph. I love how it came out this way! Then if you look down, there is that really nice piece of driftwood there with its amazing patterns. With all of these patterns and shapes, it makes it look kind of similar to the rock formations in a strange kind of way. I love everything about this photograph and the way that you captured it. Fabulous job on your fifth place photo!
What a great photo this is! I love your deep depth of field here. Most landscape photographs have deep depth of field but even the closet part of the landscape that is in the frame is perfectly in focus. I feel like it was important for everything to have been in focus as there is no part of this picture that shouldn't be visible. It is either mountains, the sky, or reflections of both which all looks great! The sky is very dramatic and beautiful and appears to be moving a little bit which is very cool. The mountains contrast that and are perfectly in focus and stationary. I love how sharp they are and how many details you can see in them if you really look. There are great shapes, patterns, colors, reflections, etc. They aren't even massive sized compared to some mountains, but they have so many unique features about them that it makes them very extraordinary! Fabulous job on photographing this beautiful place and getting seventh place!
