Seals in the Wild

Really nice image showing a Seal feeding. A better Fisher than me, as I have never caught anything this big, ha ha. I like the way that you have framed the image and the dark lighting adds a nice mood to the shot. Image is sharp and good DOF. Well done on a nice image :-)

This image was an instant favourite of mine. I love the colours in this image, and the way that the crab pops. There is the comical value as well, of thinking what the seal is actually thinking. Focus looks good and the details are sharp on the main subject. The path of the sand leads your eye through the image to the seal, which makes you look at what it is looking at. Well done on a great image and taking 1st Place :-)

There were a couple like this in the competition, but I think that this image stood out for the sharpness and the lighting. I love the way that you have got the water rolling over the head as the Seal comes up from the water. I can't help but think of the music from Jaws when I see this image, ha ha. Superb capture. Well done :-)

Granted, that this may not be the nicest thing to see in an image, but it does show what nature is all about, and you have "caught" this extremely well. Focus looks really good and I like the splashes of the water showing the action. Waves in the BG are an added bonus as well. Thank you for sharing this image in the competition, and well done on 2nd Place :-)
