Take a look at the <a href="https://www.photocrowd.com/leaderboard/">leaderboard</a> for more information on Photocrowd rankings.** There are few better ways to subtly draw the viewer’s attention to a specific area of a photo than through the use of shallow depth of field. This technique isolates an element and throws the rest of the image into a lovely blur, creating results that can be cinematic and hugely evocative. The trick, here, is in knowing where to place the focus.
