Nearly. I think that this is a wonderful frame in potential but that the front of the main shoe is ever-so-slightly cropped - a fraction of a second I'm sure - means that it doesn't work as well as it might. A huge shame - I love the idea of the relentless march and the well-seen graphic of the legs. The red 'eyes' on the trailing shoe add a little humour - and welcome colour.
Sometimes it's the simplest things that we see that make striking images. Here, it's the colour but also the strident walk and shadows that create a strong graphic photograph. I love the curve of the long coat against the lines of reflected colour and the angularity of the legs. Strong and dynamic. A really nice frame.

This is really nicely done. A (presumably) large, soft side-light rakes across the details and textures of a well composed but simply assembled still life. Perhaps I could have seen the last prong of the garden fork and perhaps the highlight on the middle Croc's strap is a tiny bit hot - but that is a little picky and this is a cracker. Well done. A lovely smooth, gentle light.

**This contest is open to photographers ranked between 1 and 250 in this week’s Leaderboard.** We spend a lot of time choosing our shoes, making sure they match our outfit, and taking care of them. But the poor shoe rarely takes centre stage in our photography, situated as they are so far away from the smiles and shining eyes we're usually pointing our cameras at. We'll change that here, for one contest at least, so let your imagination run free as you think of interesting ways to showcase shoes.
Lovely. A real moment caught as the boots are well out of the water; a simple and elegant idea that's well captured. It's clearly a grey day but I wonder whether the boots are just a tiny bit overexposed and that might have led to an overall slightly less vibrant image. Still, an excellent - and fun - effort.
