Smell

From the first time I saw it, I knew it was the number one. The feeling of pleasure and tranquility is overwhelming. The composition and lighting are impeccable. And of course, the sense of smell is more present than ever. Good job!

This is the place where we all want to start the day. It is practically impossible to get out of there without buying something, and the smell is responsible for a good part of this happens. Its composition, although not easy, has been able to cover a lot of information. The exposure is correct, despite the large amplitude between both sides of the photograph. Nice!!

This beautiful Cuban woman captivated me from the beginning. The work done in the conversion to black and white is superb. Her expression, relaxed and cheerful, takes us with her to the same party. As if that were not enough, a Cuban tobacco scents the environment. Capturing the moment is key!

This photo is full of details. The face of the butcher shows some surprise, the signboard offering some unconventional articles, and of course, the enigmatic man appearing behind, with that inquisitive look in his eyes. The out-of-focus foreground further highlights the figure of the butcher and his great knife. About the smell…well, what should I say?...it´s already there for all of you! Enjoy! Well done!

Of all the photos published in this series, I think this is the only one that, at least, releases 3 completely different scents (with the exception of spices). Probably none of them is very nice, but it complies with the motto of the contest! It is difficult to understand how this animal found in that place a good spot to rest. The use of flash, would have served to attenuate the differences of light in the animal. Nice pic!
