Such a soft, precious capture!

I’d love to see this shot popped to the next level with a tight crop around his paws and face. The focus on the left eye and whiskers is text book perfect so the image can hold the extreme close up. Finally a filter, to bring even more emphasis to his amazing eyes and this image is top 10.

From a technical perspective, this picture is textbook perfect!

The composition is engaging, leading the eye to take in the entire scene. The focus and contrast and color, beautifully expressed brilliant, sharp and true to life.

However, beyond technique, the magnificence of softness is depicted in every aspect of this image…I just love it!.

The obvious softness of their fur, the softness of his precious face as he snuggles into the gentle, soft, nurturing body and embrace of his mother, the capture itself embodies the theme of this contest.

This photo is the epitome of safety and connection which is what allowed the subjects to soften.

Such a sweet capture!

I’d love to see this image cropped really tight and popped with a HD filter. The focus is perfection so it could definitely handle the closeup and the black subject would be amplified and highlighted with the depth of a filter.
