This is certainly a case of being at the right place at the right time. A beautifully exposed shot and a wonderful composition. What is the most noticeable is that the Lion is facing the setting sun, and this gives him beautiful highlights on his face. The two branches that curve towards the ground frame the lion beautifully. Congratulations on your beautiful shot.

A Scottish classic, this beautiful stag set against a back drop of the Scottish Highlands. The soft warm light accentuates the stag beautifully. The background is at the perfect depth of field, making it less confusing than it could have been, and luckily the stag is positioned between a break in the trees. I wonder if he heard you and turned to present himself to the camera. Perfect timing and great execution
Just a beautiful bear cub. The tones of the photograph make this a warm and inviting shot. You have captured the pastoral scene so beautifully keeping the the area directly around the cub sharp while using a good depth of field to make the pasture less important. Its nice to see a shot of wildlife in the context of where they live, beautifully captured.
This photograph is something that you would expect to see in a story book. The squirrel in the woods with the light catching the moss and grass and especially the front of his face makes for a delightful composition. The colors are warm and you did well not to blow out the sky that shows through the tress. The frame may have been better had you stepped slightly to the left to omit the tree trunk on the right and place the squirrel less center. This is a shot that many wildlife photographers would have been happy to capture. Well done.
This is such a beautiful shot of the Welsh pony. You managed to capture the feeling of early morning sun with the dew still on the grass and a slight mist over the hills in the background so well that I can feel the brisk summer morning air. I like how the hump of the pony's back mirrors the larger hill in the background and you have a nice leading line of the field wall from the left of the frame to the horse’s head. Very nicely composed.
I fell in love with this little creature as soon as I saw the shot. His amazing eye contact with the camera is perfect. I really like that the colors of Pine Martine's coat is echoed with the fungi, and that the bright green adds a pop of color. Wonderful capture, requiring a great deal of patience waiting for the very timid Pine Marten to appear.

This is a shot that takes your breath way, the rim lighting is perfect. The highlight on the nose gives the face a nice definition even though it is a silhouette. I looked at the map and saw how far north this was shot, and have only admiration for the photographer to bear the cold and extreme conditions to capture this shot, whatever you went through to get this piece of perfection it was certainly worth it.
Just a great nature shot, I can't imagine the patience needed to capture such a small and shy little animal. Not only is the composition beautiful you have managed to keep the fruit, eyes and nose all wonderfully sharp. The bright vibrant colors make this shot inviting and the green background accents the light brown of the mouse. This is a happy well executed capture...
Something that could have been a confusion of water and animal has been caught beautifully. You managed to keep the bear and the water sharp, as a bonus we can see both of his eyes, and to finish the effect he has beautiful lighting on his nose and the top of his head. This is a shot that you keep coming back to. Congratulations.

Solitary animals are species that thrive better on their own rather than as part of a pack, and spend the majority of their lives this way. Tigers, bears and badgers (among others) all fit into this category since, with the exception of mating or raising their young, they are largely territorial and like to avoid competition from other members of their species by avoiding them completely. They may be harder to find and photograph, but the results are more than worth it.
The lighting on this shot caught my eye immediately and I came back to it several times. The animal is amazingly sharp and exposed beautifully. You’ve used a great DOF just enough to blur it slightly so the eye doesn’t focus on it. Had you moved slightly to the left you may have been able to remove the tree that is in the front right, and at the same time the small bush that is covering his feet would have been to the side. I know these things are not always possible and we get the best shot we can at the time, but these small things are what make a great capture. A good effort.
I love the composition of this shot. The rocky outcrop leads the eye to the cow and the wind ruffled hair leads your eye directly to his face, and lucky for you the perfect timing as the wind moved the hair from his eye. Also a strong point of animals walking you've managed to have the front leg leading. All in all, a worthy effort.
