Congrats Simon on your third place! the creepiness here is very subtle but still obvious. Those walls reminded me of one day when I was still a child (a loooong time ago!) when I was lying in bed very sick in a room that looked a lot like this, and I believed someone else was moving in my bed, but I was alone. In my defense...I was burning in fever! 🤪 I love the richness of your B&W, the contrasts, the simplicity of the whole scene and the way you made this image creepy in a very simple way. Well done.
What a fantastic image Neil. I must confess, being almost at the end of this competition, I had already chosen my top 10; then you entered this masterpiece and I just had to put you on top. The creepiness of this photograph lies not only on the image itself but also on the message about your own interpretation of mental health issues. Tecnically speaking, no one can’t put a finger on it. Those tones, those contrasts, the lightning....everything is just awesome. I would definitely buy this artwork! Congratulations on your well deserved first place.

Wandering the city I found this creepy stuff on the window of a boat. Being a fan of dark/creepy stuff, I would like to see your best images of creepy and/or spooky stuff. It should be something you’ve seen around; not looking for Halloween stuff, so please avoid Halloween portraits. Play with your images, edit them, whatever you like. Just be creepy and have fun!
