**This contest is open to photographers ranked between 1 and 250 in this week’s <a href="https://www.photocrowd.com/photographer-community/">Leaderboard</a>.** Scenes of heroic battles and lacklustre draws. Victories and losses. Personal and team effort. We check out of everyday life and check into the world of sport when we step onto the pitch or court. The focus of this contest is a little more on the areas of play themselves, be they professional stadia, or the local fields. But this of course can include sport being played, showing them in use, being trodden on, run up and down, and generally doing what they were built for.

I love the low shutter. It's not easy to technically get that right so very impressed with this photo and also the timing is more than perfect. Would love to see more of this kind of images in basketball in motion and also in color. Great job!

What a photo! I love the sunset and the colors looks amazing. Lovely timed photo and the whole compostion and framing is perfect. Even if the characters are dark and you can't say their faces clearly you can feel their happy emotions. Love it!
