**This contest is open to photographers ranked below 1000 in this week’s <a href="https://www.photocrowd.com/photographer-community/">Leaderboard</a>.** Scenes of heroic battles and lacklustre draws. Victories and losses. Personal and team effort. We check out of everyday life and check into the world of sport when we step onto the pitch or court. The focus of this contest is a little more on the areas of play themselves, be they professional stadia, or the local fields. But this of course can include sport being played, showing them in use, being trodden on, run up and down, and generally doing what they were built for.
