I have quite a few paper sacks entered into this completion, and they were all very good images. But what could my eye about this one was the softness in the paper. You can still make out the lines and detail well. The tones and shadows are evenly distributed and complement each other. A great image.

I knew this was going to be somewhere in my top ten when I first saw it. It really is a unique concept. The lighting works well highlighting the coil of the book binder. This is not an idea I would have come up with myself, so thank you for sharing this idea you have given me inspiration. Well done.

Hello! and thanks for sharing your traditional style image. I love nothing more than to sit down with a cup of coffee and pen & paper to craft a well written letter by hand. With the use of technology and social media this is a craft that is becoming less popular. I love the composition and I cannot tel which is the original image and which is the stock image. Well done.

Thank you for sharing this cute image. I have had many great images entered into this contest and as a result been honoured and disappointed that I cannot commend them all or have them in my top ten. However, this image is in the top ten because of its uniqueness.

Hello! and congratulations on coming first in the top ten. I love the creativity behind this image and it certainly fits the brief to a tee. The contrasting tones and highlights work really well together and the use of post processing is excellent. Well done!

I love the contrasting colours of this image. The white & red look great against the dark grey background. The lighting is subtle but evident. I also like the idea of how the roses are wrapped in the paper and how the roses that are on each end have slightly opened. A truly romantic idea.

A very clever idea. At first glance i thought it was all done in camera and that the pencil in the mirror was the snapped pencil. That was until I read the details. When I looked more closely I could make out the pencil in the mirror that was not snapped. A unique image. Well done.

I love the composition of this image and the black & white tones this is why it is in my top ten. The spiralling effect of the pencils is almost mesmorising and I would be reluctant to pick a pencil from the pot in fear of disturbing the flow.

This image reminds of of a picture postcard. It would make a very nice jigsaw puzzle. I love the softness of the shot and the slight pastel paint look. It takes me back in time with the old time postal system.
