This is a superbly executed still life that I can’t find any faults in, both aesthetically and technically. It’s creative, vibrant and dynamic. Excellent control of light, contrast and colour saturation perfectly emphasis the clean, fresh and healthy look of the vegetables. I also like the way you composed it with the celery standing on two little platforms and framing three hanging down leaks in the middle. Vertical lines created by the vegetables make a rather interesting abstract and catches my attention. Very well done and congratulations!

This image works in so many ways, because its not only beautifully composed, expertly lit and has great detail, but it also captures that proud and satisfying feeling of harvesting a bounty from nature. Everything here is arranged in such natural way that showcases the organic, earthy qualities of mushrooms and rosemary. Finally I really like the fact that the image is kept in just one dominant brown colour with the only addition of contrasting green herbs. It gives an extra interest and draws me further into the image.

Great work. Congratulations on your well deserved top ten placement!

What appeals to me most in this image is your selection of fruits that were used to create it. It makes a wonderful display that shows the wide range of colours, shapes and textures found in fruits. When I look at it I can’t help it but smile thinking how generous Mother Nature is giving us so many beautiful and tasty goodies. The white background was also a great choice here as it additionally created a soft and rather idyllic appearance to this arrangement. Excellent work! Congratulations on your well deserved top ten placement.

When it comes to still life the use of light, the choice of objects and the way they are placed in the frame seem to be the key. This image demonstrates your great eye for such arrangements and wonderful editing skills. Everything here is so very well balanced. The composition, colour tones, detail, light and textures interact all together in such way that it makes a really pleasant scene to contemplate. Nothing is too much or too little in this image. I especially like the earthy and vintage feel to it.

Beautiful and atmospheric artwork that I’d be very happy to decorate my kitchen with! Well done and congratulations!

I really like the choice of elements that were used to create this arrangement. Onions and garlic, the hessian fabric and the rusty metal ring in the background seem to complement each other really well giving the picture a rather rustic and visually appealing look. When I look at it I’m immediately taken to a rural countryside home. The whole scene is amazingly lit by a soft warm light which additionally creates a very homey and welcoming feeling to the image. It looks like the light is coming from a window on a beautiful sunny summer day. Superbly executed still life that definitely deserves appreciation. Well done and congratulations on making my top ten selection.

Anyone who has tried to photograph a still life will know how difficult it is to come up with something new, creative and aesthetically appealing. Here you achieved this expertly. The white and red colours reinforced by a pure black background make a visually striking image. The bright curves and the composition with the jug diagonally cutting the upper corner of the frame add plenty of dynamic to the photo and lead our eyes from one object to another. Finally what appeals to me most is how this image plays with my imagination! When I look at it I can’t help mentally tipping the jug and seeing the cream pour over the raspberries and making them even more tasty! You definitely created a great tension here and I love it! Very well done and congratulations on your well deserved win!

I know this photo has already been rewarded many times but there are good reasons for that. There is something very special about it and it would be hard not to like it. To me it’s all about the feeling you captured here. The use of light and depth of field is excellent making the image very atmospheric. The addition of smoke was a great idea too. It accents not only the spicy but also the aromatic nature of chillis and garlic. This photo really talks to all my senses. When I look at it I can almost taste the hot spice, smell the garlic and feel the textures of nuts and vegetables.

A fantastic artwork that would make a wonderful addition to the decor of any kitchen. Well done and congratulations on making my top ten selection!
