Still Life in Monochrome

Firstly, thank you for submitting your image to my competition. What attracted me to this image is the black background and the textures in the bones, flowers, feathers and tankard. It is a classic still life image but well shot and processed in black and white!

Firstly, thank you for submitting your image to my competition. This is a different type of image to the other images in my top five. I think that you have controlled the whites in this high key image with detail across the whole of the background and no over exposed whites! Well done

The exposure is spot on and the processing brings out the detail in the pages of the books - and well done in including the key as a bit of left field detail!
