Summer sun

The bold warm colours in this shot are fabulous and we love your carefully balanced composition, but it's the shadow that really 'makes' this image and pulls your eye into the centre of the frame. It also helps to set the scene and give context. A well-spotted and well-executed photograph.

This looks like the sort of summer day and early evening that we dream of. We love the way the sunbeams split through the tree branches and that the sunflowers are backlit to the petals glow. The colours suggest a warm, heavy afternoon.

This looks like a wonderful end to a lovely day by the lake. It would be an attractive image without the figures, but including them adds extra interest and scale. Your exposure is also very good, you've avoided the temptation to make the sky very dark and captured a subtle range of tones.

That sunny seat is so inviting, it looks like a wonderful place to sit with a cold drink at the end of the day.
