There's a lot to like about this image. The colours and composition are excellent. The road and car give a hypnotic pull towards the horizon, with an expectant feel to the destination of the car.

The classic "riding into the sunset!"

Very nicely lit, with obvious attention to detail. Nice, clean processing, leaving a very crisp image. I can certainly appreciate the forethought and planning that has gone into the development and execution of this image.

Definitely a worthy top ten finish.

Whilst a very simple shot, I love the colours and composition. It could easily be said this is more of a landscape image, the car still commands attention, and draws they. Very nicely executed, and a well deserved top ten placement.

Although you have said this was one of your early ventures into using the FDL technique, it's a really good image.

If you are starting from here, I suspect you will scale very, very quickly. Really nicely executed technique.

Well done.

I love the way the black and white conversion emphasises the age of the vehicle, and puts the whole scene into context. A lot of thought has obviously gone into the image, with the choice of location, cobbled streets etc.

Nicely done.

Believe me, I know just how difficult and time consuming light painting can be. You've managed to do a really good job here, with no tell tales or give-aways. Really good subject choice, and the background adds interest, without distracting from your subject.

Really well done.

Congratulations.

I really like this. It smacks quite loudly of high end brochure work.

Very nicely lit, photographed and edited, creating a fascinating image. The electric blue of the car really stands out against the dark background and tiled floor.

Really nicely done.

Very nicely done, with nice post processing to finish off too. The composition works really well, and tends to be one the most difficult to get right in this type of scenario, due to so many variables, including the driver etc.

Very nicely done.

i particularly like the light within this scene, and how it plays on both the cyclist, and the cars. The composition works really nicely, with the cars and road leading to the central figure, which is emphasised by the reflection of the streetlight on the wet road surface. Nicely done.

Certainly an interesting image, that raises a lot of questions. Very nice black and white conversion, adding to the drama, and the use of a wideangle lens emphasises the remoteness of the area.

Nicely captured, with obvious thought going into the composition and post processing.

Whilst you have said it was taken in broad daylight, I have to admit I would have said it was an indoor shoot. Really well executed shoot in the first place, showing a lot of forethought as to what you wanted from the image, and how you were to achieve it.

An interesting concept, and quite well thought out. The foreground could potentially do with colour grading a little, so as to match the background scene.

It's always worthwhile paying attention to the horizon too - ensuring it is level.

Nice idea, and definitely worth refining.

These last 100 or so years have seen our world transformed by many things, and not least the car. Whilst 1886 is credited as its birth year, courtesy of German inventor Carl Benz, it wasn’t until the Ford Model T rolled off the lines in 1908 that automobile ownership for the masses started in earnest. As a new era of electric cars dawns, let’s see how you’ve photographed cars of any era, and their impact on our lives.

This really caught my eye, and I'm not entirely sure why. I like the composition, the "worker's" hand, the steering wheel and badge, and especially the colour grading. Whilst it's a very simple image, I find it quite fascinating.

Well done.

I rather like the severe contrast in the black and white conversion. It definitely adds a very gritty feel to the image, and it definitely goes well with the era of the vehicle itself. It kind of hints of the Kray twins, and all they stood for.

Very nice.

I found the colours amongst the trees to be quite fascinating, with the car being almost secondary.

Very nice composition with the road running diagonally across the frame, and the car being pretty much on the rule of thirds cross point.

Very nicely done.
