The Beauty of Bokeh (in colour)

In this photo, you've managed to capture every part really good.

I'll start with the woodpecker. He is in focused and well exposed. The red on him by his tail feathers is outstanding. It looks as if he got red paint thrown on him. It is such a rich red color. He is also so big and beautiful! He has many stripes and patterns which make his appearance really nice.

For the bokeh, it looks really pretty. It is all yellow-green and really pops out of the photograph. Another thing that makes this photo look really good.

Everything about this photo is tremendous such as the woodpecker, the bokeh, the colors, the leaves at the bottom, and even the piece of wood that the woodpecker is clinging onto. You captured this photo so perfectly, awesome job! You absolutely deserved Third Place!

You're photo here is very nice! I love this little cute squirrel and all of its nice colors. It is actually pretty small for being a squirrel which makes it even more cute.

This photo was done just right because the bokeh in the background is somewhat subdued which allows you to focus more on the squirrel which is the subject of the photo. The bokeh by the way is super gorgeous. There is so much of it and they come in so many different colors. They are really beautiful.

You're photo here is very cool!

Cuttlefish are really cool creatures, everything about them is amazing. You focused the camera really well on this cuttlefish's face and you can see every detail of it in exactly the main spot you would look, where it's eye is. Also, this cuttlefish is very pretty with its colors and spots. You can see them very well in this photo.

The bokeh is nice and pretty since the bokeh is in so many different colors. It is a bit hard to see, but it is visible enough.

Everything in this photo is really nice and I am so glad to have been able to give you Seventh Place!

Your photo here is very unique and cool.

This praying mantis has a nice plain color to it, I have never seen a mantis that looks like this before.

It is very cool that the bokeh is the exact same color of the mantis. Although this blends the mantis in and doesn't make it stand out, it still is a very cool image.

The bokeh is beautiful and gold like you mentioned in your title. I really like it.

Upon viewing this image, the first thing noticeable to me was the bokeh. There is so much of it, and it all looks great.

This photo has an interesting tone to it. It is kind of like a vintage tone in a way but it is something else. I like it!

The grass in this photo is so dark that it is almost black. This worked out really great for making all of the water droplets really pop and shine.

This photo is pretty much an abstract photo. Yes you can see the droplets and the grass and see detail, but still it is hard enough to make everything out which for me, makes it enough of an abstract photo.

You're photo here is fabulous. You've done a great job with everything.

The focusing here is spot-on. This squirrel couldn't be clearer. He is really exposed well too. It would look good having him a tad bit brighter but that isn't important at all since you can still see everything clear as could be on his body.

You're Depth of Field for this photo is super greatly done as well. The only thing that is in focus is the squirrel which makes the viewer have no choice but to focus on the squirrel. If more of the frame was in focus the viewer would get distracted more but by having this much Depth of Field, it really makes the entire photo look much better. It also brings out the beautiful colors that this photo has.

The bokeh is also nice. There isn't much of it, but it's still there and that is enough.

So fabulous job on this photo and taking a photo good enough for Second Place!

Your photo here is very nice.

The way in which the sunlight is perfectly shining through these two oak leaves makes this photo look really good. I find it interesting that the other leaf in the back has been dead the longest and that one is out of the sunlight. It is nice how this worked out for you because having these leaves be in the sunlight looks better than it would have if just the crumpled one would have been.

The bokeh is nice. It's opacity is very light but yet it is still very visible.

Probably the only thing that is a little off in this photo is that the two leaves are not completely in focus which is sad because they are one speck from it. This photo would have looked even better if they would have been. But still, you can see enough detail.

You did a great job on this image with the lighting the bokeh, and how you put the leaves on the side of the photo following the Rule of Thirds and making this photo even better. I am happy to have awarded you Eighth Place!

I really like this photo for many reasons. The first one being that there is absolutely NOTHING in this photo besides the bokeh. This makes the photo much more different than your normal bokeh photo which often consists of a normal daylight photo with a subject as say a person or a squirrel and then the bokeh in the background.

By having this photo be of just the bokeh, it forces you into having to focus on the bokeh more than you normally would since it is the only thing there.

The bokeh in this photo is really nice because the circles are different sizes and shapes and every bokeh circle is a different color. By having so many colors mix like this, it makes this photo really beautiful and look very cool.

A photo like this really shows that you can make a very beautiful image from doing nothing more than putting your camera on MF, turning the focus ring until everything is blurred out, and then taking a picture. This is one of the really cool things about photography. Great photos can be made in a very complicated way, or they can be like this photo and done in a very simple way.

You're photo here is very colorful and pretty.

It is really cool how the Christmas tree lights really pop out of the photo compared to the wall which look way farther back than these lights.

Another thing that is interesting is that the only colors in this photo are yellow and orange, but yet this photo is still very beautiful.
