The Beauty of Somerset, UK

This Image of the Avalon Marshes Nature reserve is just stunning. I instantly knew that this was a Somerset scene before realising that the Tor was present in the Image. As I saw the weaving waterways of the wetlands with the dramatic cloud filled sky.

The composition is superbly done as your eye floats from the bottom of the scene where the reeds are up through the Image taking in the waterway and it’s wildlife before you reach the top of the Image where you see the magnificent Glastonbury Tor and the dramatic sky.

I love the use of depth and scale too by including the growing reed plants on the right of the frame as it really shows the lengths you have gone through to get this Image.

It is a well thought out Image that shows the beauty and drama of the Somerset Landscape all in one and at it’s finest. It is one of those Images that would look great on a gallery wall where you could stare at it for hours. Simply stunning.

Lovely Image showing a typical Somerset Sunrise. I love the composition of this Image as you really do see a good use of layers within this Image as you have the foreground, then middle which is of the gate and then the background with the sun rising above the horizon.

I love that the sun rising is lined up with the gate so you can see a slight reflection of light shining onto the gate. I also love how the mist has been captured in a way that it surrounds the rising sun.

Great Image and one the photographer should be proud of. And again another Image that would look great on a gallery wall.

Lovely Image of the stunning starling murmurations on the Somerset Levels. I really like the black and white edit as it separates the details of the foreground and the background as well as making the birds identifiable.

I love the composition as it really shows the sheer scale of these murmurations. I can just hear the loud noise of the hundreds of thousands of birds in my head now when looking at this Image.

It is a superb Image and one the photographer should be proud of. I could just sit and look at this Image for hours if it was up on a gallery wall.
