Amazingly beautiful and very original. I simply can't figure out what the bubbles are - but combining them with the ladybug was an amazing idea that works very well. From what I can see the picture was shot with studio lighting - and the lighting is just perfect. The shape of the bug perfectly matches the shape of the bubbles and the combination is stunning. Very creative and well executed.

Creative and beautiful still life composition. Great use of the color red and I really like that you chose a relatively shallow depth of field with perfect focus on the berry in the spoon. Love how you lined everything up perfectly on the edge of the bowls. Excellent work.

Also on of the pictures that caught my eye from the very beginning. Love the color grading you did on this - the cool colors fits the image perfectly. The very shallow depth of field is spot on and the narrow square crop with the vignetting works very well. And what a beautiful girl she is.

A daring composition - but it works very well with the use of so much negative space in the left side of the picture. Exposure is spot on - texture in the black dress is nicely captured. However, I believe you could have made an even better picture if the woman nail polish had been in a bright, red color.

What a great idea. Creating a portrait with inspiration from the old masters like Johannes Vermeer or Rembrandt - and giving it a humorous twist with the bananas around the neck and banana pieces in her hand. I believe that this is a composite picture - if not the bananas are the largest I have ever seen. I'm not crazy about the pearls on her wrist though - they take to much of my attention, but besides that it's an excellent pice of work.

This is such a wonderful picture. I love the expression on the Childs face and how he is the only one looking in my direction while surrounded by all the women I black. Had it been a color picture it would probably have ended up in my top 10 - but as it's stated in the brief for the contest "Images submitted to this contest must be in colour, of black objects and scenes, and not be black and white images." I can not pick it for the top 10 or even commend it. But I do love the picture.

I really like this. Almost perfect symmetry - exposure is flawless both in the blacks and in the whites. The red spots in the middle of the picture to establish a point of four for the viewer. I imagine it mus have taken a lot of patience to capture this scene - and the patience was rewarded in the end.

What a wonderful picture of this newborn baby hanging in midair. I simply love the composition where you have left a lot of empty space around your subject. The baby looks so fave and peaceful as he/she is crumbled up in the cloth wrapped around he or her. I'm sure that the parents love this picture. However, I can not commend the picture as the rules in the contest says "Images submitted to this contest must be in colour, of black objects and scenes, and not be black and white images." I hope you will enter it in another contest where it fits the rules better.

What a great and original portrait. His intense stare into the camera is almost haunting and I love the way you framed him with that decoration with the white balls that create a great contrast in the picture. Not a lot of colors in the picture and the ones there are have been desaturated to perfection. A worthy winner in this contest. Congratulations.

Lots of steam engine pictures in this contest - and of all of them this is by far the best and most interesting. Lovethe feeling of speed you have achieved by selecting a perfect shutter speed for this shot. I can almost hear the sound from the steam engine and the whistle as the train swiftly goes by me. .

What a marvellous expression you have captured here - I just love it. It's sort of scary but at the same time also very funny. It's like he is challenging th viewer to come a little closer - and if you do he'll probably rip your arm of :) Perfect exposure and lighting and a nice triangular composition. Congratulations on a great shot.

By far the best cat picture in this contest (and there are lots of them), Perfect focus on the yellow eye combined with the shallow depth of field draws my attention to the eye - and furthermore the eye is placed perfectly in the frame. Even though I see so little of the cat it's almost scary to look at. I'm usually not a great fan of white frames, but here it works very well as a contrast to the black cat. Well done

A wonderful picture of this beautiful dog. I simply love how you have included the hand in the picture - I can almost hear the person saying "Sit". The dog has all his attention directed towards the person and it's like he is waiting for a treat for being such a good dog. The red collar adds the finishing touch to an excellent picture

What an incredible macro shot this is. I feel like I'm looking at a scary monster from a horror movie or something like that. Lighting, focus and colors are perfect - I imagine focus stacking has been in use here? I'm impressed by how all the smallest details are crisp and sharp almost everywhere on this - and the symmetrical composition is just perfect. A macro masterpiece.
