I choose to award the first place to this image among the ten best because it is the most original both for the subject (the Mount Sett Sass is not for sure one of the most photographed) and for the composition that is wide and present the wide area of the dolomites with our constrictions. The colour are also very interesting: natural, non dramatic, they represent the true spirit of this area. So: many compliments!

I like very much this image even if the colours and the drama have been a bit too emphasised in post production. The viewpoint is not the standard one and the light snow creates a wonderful texture over the rock . Like in the winner case the view is not restricted to the main subject and the composition include the whole area giving a great sensation of majesty to the landscape
San Giovanni in Ranui is definitely a mainstream view and, mostly, this view. Nevertheless the composition is very elegant and the postproduction is not excessive and doesn't create an artificial atmosphere as too frequently happens. The snow texture and the light and the absence of dramatic contrast give a good equilibrium to the picture
Alpe di Siusi in a iconic place of the dolomites and definitely too much photographed in the standard view. What I like in this picture is exactly the fact that the view isn't standard and that the meadows have been presented in their smoothness avoiding the juxtaposition with the Sella Ronda mountain range. the subtle fog and the clouds contribute to create a magical atmosphere that is soo frequent in the area

Ra Gusela and the area around the Giau Pass with the Averau Mountain in second plan are a great view and an iconic representation of the Cortina dolomites area. The light of the afternoon is great and draws fantastic shadows and texture on the dolomia walls. The right part of the pictures, were the shadows dominate is perfectly readable and and the snow in the foreground create a goo contrast with the rocks
