This image captures the sheer strength of the ocean waves in a perfectly gorgeous way. The shape of the wave is impressive. The use of a high shutter speed and medium depth of field helped this picture retain it's sharpness while allowing the cliffs and background ocean water to be just that, supporting background elements. The birds caught in the air ad an extra layer to the shot.
I love the brute strength of the sea wall holding up agains the pounding waves, which you can feel in this dramatic image. The composition is wonderful and the grey sky is fitting and blends nicely into the muted color palette. Another great ocean image where the viewer can feel the power of the sea. the use of a high shutter speed helped capture the scene and the medium aperture gives it more depth. Great shot!
