Excellent, well thought-out composition! Everything in shot was arranged so that the North Star (center of rotation in the northern hemisphere) was near the top of the church. In my opinion the geometric distortion of the church building, does not bother, and even enhances the dynamics of shot. The length of the star trails tells us about a very long total exposure time of shot. This means that the photographer was on location more than 2 hours, to create this perfect picture. Photo corresponds to my brief, shows much space and conveys the sense of depth of the night sky. Congratulations on winning! Bravo! - Q-lieb-in

I was attracted to this shot by a great creative idea! The centre of the stars-rotation is located close to the man's head and his placed in different directions - the hands increase the feeling of spaciousness. I would advise a little to shift the point of shooting down, that would be a silhouette that's not so much "cut" to the horizon, but is only my own opinion. A great idea and a good photo! Well done! - Q-lieb-in

Another great shot! Pictures with star trails and snow are very rare! And you know why? Because shooting star trails with the snow in frame is hard - you need to spend a few hours on location in frosty weather. This requires special patience and a great desire from the photographer. Lovely composition and good, harmonious editing. Well done!

Another good shot with star trails technique. We immediately see that the photographer really thought out and arranged the future composition of the centre of rotation in the right place, in advance imagining how stellar tracks will be located in its frame. The silhouette of a lonely tree in the foreground lead the viewer's eye to the desired point. The pond in the middle ground successfully emphasises the silhouette of the tree at the bottom, not allowing dark land to cover it. Excellent!
