The World of Ants

May 2020

This photo contains everything that represents the world of ants: teamwork, collaboration to achieve a goal, coordination. It is a pity that the shot is not slightly wider, so as not to cut away the legs in the upper and lower edges. But I realize the difficulty in capturing this beautiful moment, the focus is precise and I really like the warm colors of the background. Thanks for participating!

This photo, perhaps less flashy than others that present enormous enlargements or stronger scenes, I find it very delicate, with soft colors, almost bichromatic. At first glance the two ants may seem apparently the same, but they have a big difference in the size of the abdomen: are they a male and a female? I would be curious to know if it is a refined or random choice. In any case, this photo also stands out for its quality, precise focus and beautiful light. Thanks!

Of all the photos sent, this is the only one that captures an ant with its reflection; but to make it unique and particular is the fact that it seems to have stopped just to look at each other, with a curious expression, almost like saying ... "am I?" I find it really sweet and nice, but above all I love that light that brings out the colors, the profile and its natural transparency. Thanks for taking part!

This photo is impressive, with some elements you managed to enclose many variations: two types of different ants, different colors and sizes, life and death. The story I read is that of a challenge, in which the biggest does not win, but the work of the couple. The balanced, almost symmetrical composition further reinforces this concept. Congratulations and thank you for this series of shots!
