Thank you for sharing this image. The composition and colour make for a very impactful image. I appreciate the overlap of the buildings, the use of shadow and natural contrast, and the balance of colour. I appreciate the celebration of form and light here, and the unique framing. Congratulations on your top 10 position.
Thank you for sharing this image. I was immediately drawn to its simplicity and composition. The negative space around the subjects helps the image stand out, and for me it also emphasises the unpredictability of the movement of the butterflies. I appreciate that as a set of three subjects they have a strong connection being of the same species, and that you've chosen to show each in a different position independent of the others - this gives depth when viewing. The image is technically strong and I appreciate that the colours seem natural which emphasises the gentleness of the subject. Congratulations on your top 10 position.
Thank you for sharing this image. I appreciate the intentional camera movement and feel it's very successful in showing the moment of the subjects. I particularly like how this works with the lines on the clothes which emphasises the movement. I also appreciate the bold contrast between the subjects which helps to separate them as a three. However I do find the toning a little strong in terms of contrast and saturation and the bright spot at the top a little distracting. I wonder if the image would be stronger with the subjects' dancing feet in too? Nonetheless I find this a successful image in terms of technically representing what the moment felt like.
Thank you for sharing this image. I feel that it's very successful technically and creatively. The composition is strong and unexpected and artful. The light works beautifully to not only show us the peas inside the pods, but to show the feathering on the edges and I particularly like the joining line between the pod and the stalk. Overall I appreciate the balance of vibrancy and simplicity. Congratulations on your top 10 position.
Thank you for sharing this image. The image is technically strong and I appreciate the skill in your lighting and exposure and aperture choice. I also appreciate the genuine warmth and emotion in a tightly posed image - something that can be very challenging to capture. Congratulations on your top 10 position.
Thank you for sharing this image. It immediately stood out for me. I love the palette of three colours, the graphic shapes and strong, thoughtful composition, all of which make for a highly impactful image with strong visual balance and interest. I found myself wishing there was equidistance between the swimmers, as I felt that the image put me in mind of synchronicity, although I appreciate that may not have been the intention. Nonetheless, I find this a compelling unique and very successful image. Congratulations on second place!
Thank you for sharing this image. It made me smile! I appreciate the intention behind the image and the technical choices you made and executed skillfully to achieve this. I personally like the storytelling and point of view and I appreciate how you have worked with the subjects to achieve the expressions. Congratulations on your top 10 position.
Thanks for sharing this image. The use of colour is strong and well observed and ties the foreground and the background together. I appreciate your aperture choice. In my opinion the overall composition could be very strong if the smaller figures in the water were all isolated rather than some of them merging with the bags and the foreground subjects. This is a difficult thing to achieve in a busy scene!
Thank you for sharing this image. I like that the composition fills the frame with the branches extending out of frame. The colour palette works well, with the same colours being shared with the birds/branches, berries/orange feathers/beak and the snow/sky. The lower bird is well placed for readability. I feel the image would be stronger if the left bird in particular was more readable - less obscured by branches and more in focus. The top right bird although in more focus and more readable, is not quite fully in frame. At such a long focal length I feel that a deeper depth of field (and higher ISO, which would have been fine outside in daylight) would have elevated the image. A higher shutter for birds may help too. Nonetheless, there's a pleasing simplicity and balance in the image which shows a good eye, so do keep sharing your work.
Thank you for sharing this image. It immediately stood out to me as an exceptional entry. Technically, I appreciate the detail captured by the focal length and aperture, and how the toning complements the scene and the colour palette with the colour matching across the image. Compositionally, I appreciate the spacing between the subjects heads and hand whilst their bodies overlap in the entrance to the living space, emphasising the style of living and therefore your story. All three subjects have different expressions, a little lost in their own thoughts, but in terms of the photograph, connected by the slightness of their smiles. It's a convincing documentary image and a strong representation of a set of three people in a community. Congratulations on being first place!

Thank you for sharing this image. It stood out for me as a very strong example of a set of three animals together. Technically, it is impressive. I appreciate the detail and the lighting and your technical choices in achieving this. The combination of a natural white background and some detail on the ground is successful in making the image readable, clean and impactful. Compositionally and creatively, I appreciate the seemingly identical nature of subjects who have a clear relationship - the overlapping of the two of the subjects looking towards the other who is separated brings story to the image. Congratulations on your top 10 position.
Thank you for sharing this image. I was immediately drawn to the natural moment between the children and to your frame choice. By choosing to show a frame where then children are obscuring their faces though a moment driven movement, rather than smiling at the camera, you have succeeded in showing us more of their personalities. The girl's smile seems in relation to her brothers rather than for the camera, so I feel the image is a very successful natural portrait. I would suggest a slightly faster shutter and to watch your edges with a dark background both around the heads and the outer edges (the top right is a little patchy). Overall, I find the image a strong representation of three subjects that clearly relate to each other, but captured as individuals whilst interacting with each other.
Thank you for sharing this image. It immediately struck me as a strong composition. The subject represents a well known set of three, which gives it a symbolic significance, but the eye contact of all the subjects immediately makes them stand apart from any expectation. Your choice to show the subjects holding on to each other so closely emphasises their relationship as a set of three, and feels a privilege to see as a viewer. The lighting is very successful. The fur is in focus which is pleasing to see, but the focus drops away behind the mouth of the nearest monkey, so the eyes are a little softer than I would expect. With a dark background I feel you could have chosen a narrower aperture which would have secured the focus of all the faces. Nonetheless I find this to be an impressive image.
Thank you for sharing this image. It stood out to me strongly as a bold and unexpected composition. It's not immediately obvious what's happening in the image in terms of location but its artful feeling (which fits the subject) works in that respect. I appreciate the composition in terms of the positioning of the three subjects in the space and in terms of each other, and that your choice of aperture works well. I feel the toning is successful and emphasises the artful feel. Congratulations on your top 10 position.
