Toning

**Open to photographers with a ranking outside the top 1000. There are two other 'Toning' contests currently open to other ranks. Take a look at the <a href="https://www.photocrowd.com/leaderboard/">leaderboard</a> for more information on Photocrowd rankings.** Toning is a technique where the colour of black and white photographs is changed. In analogue, this is a chemical process carried out on silver-based prints, but this effect can also be emulated on Photoshop and similar programmes.
