A stunning photograph; in composition, subjects and colours. The child's hand on her mother's face brings an intimacy and shows a genuine moment, when it could so easily have been a rather static, staged image. There is a glory to this portrait which many photographers aspire to but most do not attain. Congratulations.
The saturated colours and contrasting lines and shapes of this image give it a slightly other-world feeling, both spooky and relaxing at the same time - it feels a bit like a scene from a futuristic film - and I really want to know who has been lounging in that inflatable! The atmosphere in this image is very striking; a different take on a much-photographed subject; nice one :-)
This image just jumps out at the viewer with its brilliant use of graphic composition and popping colours against the sandy walls and ground. Small intimate details like the doormat, tiny window and fabulous hanging fruit (or is it huge chilllis, or something else?) reveal so much about this place, and each takes on a greater importance for being individual tactile elements in a quiet scene. A lovely photograph.

From trekking to Timbuktu and hiking the Himalayas to catching a bus to the supermarket most of us experience travel in one form or another every day. In this round we’re not necessarily looking for exotic locations in fancy far flung locations but rather an image that captures a sense of a ’journey’, that embraces the spirt of adventure and the art of travel, no matter how grand or not.
This portrait has great potential. The intensity in the Shiva devotee's eyes is intense has been captured well however the background is distracting and ugly. Bringing your subject forward and using a shallow aperture setting would have helped. The overall image is also a little dark so try boosting the exposure.
There is something very surreal about this image that raises lots of questions. Who is the girl? What is she doing there? Why does she have a pillow? This inquisitive nature creates an interest and pulls you in to explore. The dress choice is interesting and mirrors the fancy gold photo frames in the background.
