This triptych may not be everyones choice for the winning image, but I connected with it as soon as I saw it, and it earned a well-deserved top spot. I love that it is so ordinary and real - showing the landscape how it is with no apologies for doing so. Many contest entries generally seem to view a landscape as if through rose-tinted spectacles, rather than showing a representation of what for most people is reality. There is a place for those stunning highly saturated sunsets, the dreamy slow shutter speed waterscapes, the clever composites and editing gimicks, but it is the documentation of aspects of landscapes which are so ordinary and typical, and many people's reality, that appeals to me so much here. As a triptych the three images all work together to create something more than three shots separately. All look to have been processed in the same style so there is harmony in the colours and tones as well as the subject. The simple white frame is understated and not showy, giving full attention to the landscapes and does not dominate or compete for attention. Congratulations on your winning image.

There were a lot of entries with different views of a town or city, but this one has the edge on most, mainly because of the harmony across all three shots due to the similarity in tones and contrasts across all shots, with just the highlights popping out through the deep blackness. The conversion to black and white has been done very well, with each image dominated by darkness, and the shapes and features of the city structures outlined in highlights. The use of the individual white frames was a good choice, as it keeps everything contained has prevented each image floaring within the background. Well done on your top ten placing.

This image caught my attention as soon as I saw it, and it was never out of my top ten. Such a simple subject choice, but as with many great images, the simplest can often be the best. Despite the ordinariness of the subject, it has been explored well and we are treated to three very different viewpoints of the notebook and pens. The images have been well sequenced in the triptych, with the two images composed of mostly verticals positioned each side of the central horizontal composition. The black and white conversion has been done well, and the tones are gentle and avoid any harsh highlights or shadows which are too dark. Great work, well done on your top ren placing.

A beautifully presented triptych, showcasing some beautiful flowers in a simple and elegant way. The images are all well captured, showing lovely details in the petals through the use of gentle backlighting on a light box. A good range of tones in the black and white conversion gets the right balance between texture and detail, with a light and gentle airiness. The simple keyline frames suit the subject and have been carefully placed to line up the images perfectly, so important when considering the overall effect of a triptych. Congratulations on your second place finish.

This is a great example of the type of image I was hoping to see in this contest, with a cohesive set of three detail shots from the same location, each one describing a little portion of a greater whole. The contrasting blue and yellow are an obvious draw to the images, and the variety of shapes and patterns across the three images work well together and provide plenty of interest. The three shots are presented well within the broad white frame, keeping everything crisp and clean. Great work, well done on your top ten placing.

A perfect choice of images for this themed triptych, a great example for anyone who struggles to know what type of images can create a great panel of images. So many entries in this contest contained some great individual photos, but often they were thrown together with little overall cohesion. Here however we have a beautiful collection, all working together to give a finished image with even greater impact than each component shot. Three door details from similiarly weather-worn doors, with pleasing differences in colour between them, looking natural and not falsely coloured for effect. The three 'identical' images have been accurately positioned on the white background, and the narrow keyline around each shot keeps everything nicely contained. The little squiggle logo on the right seems lacking in purpose and is a little distracting, but overall a super collection of three shots. Congratulations on your third place finish.

A lovely triptych composed of three different and rather abstract shots of paper. Although the paper source looks to be different across the images, everything is well coordinated, especially aided by the similar tones and hues. Each image is attractively composed, with good exposure revealing form and depth to the paper sheets. The tryptych has been carefully assembled and presented, resulting in a very strong image. Great work, well done on your top ten placing.

A perfect choice of subjects from which to compose a triptych. There is an obvious similarity in the nature of each subject, all looking to be aged metal objects. Each shot has focused on an interesting detail which gives plenty for the eye to explore. The colours and tones across all the shots are nicely balanced and well considered. The overall presentation of the triptych is simple but has been executed well. Great work, well done on your top ten placing

This contest is for your triptych images. A triptych is created by combining three individual photographs to present together in one image. The three individual photographs making up the triptych will often be separated by some type of border or frame, but please avoid just dividing one single photo by overlaying it with a three-piece frame. To create impact with your triptych, try to select photos which are in some way connected, such as different details of one object, similar subjects, colours or shapes etc. Please remember a triptych is formed by presenting three photographs together in one image. I look forward to seeing your entries.
