Congratulations on winning first place with this incredible image. There's a lot going on to keep viewers lingering for a while, but I personally love the intense stare of the short-eared owl, the beatiful light through the tips of the wing, and the amazing shapes of both birds. Top-drawer stuff!

I really love the colours and composition here, and I've added the Cailleach & Bodach to my list of places to see in Scotland! Interesting caption too. I'm half-Scottish and am always amazed at how much there is to see up there. Congratulations on winning third place!

Congratulations on winning second place, and thank you for sharing such a starkly beautiful scene from a part of the world that people rarely get to see (western Iran in the Kurdish region). The scene feels natural, not posed, and the juxtaposition of the boy playing with snow and the man standing in a contemplative pose tell an interesting story.

**This contest is open to photographers ranked 1000+ in this week’s Leaderboard.** Considering the relationship between two things. They’re identical, they’re contrasting, they have a relationship, maybe they don’t, but in their two-ness an opportunity for a shot was offered and taken. The two things might be people, animals, objects, whatever caught your eye. But the two things being represented should be obvious to the viewer, and form a focus of the image.
