Great contest!

I kept returning to this image for its compelling lighting that flows into the opening of the railroad trestle.. I'm not sure whether the lighting is natural or was created in Photoshop, but it effectively draws attention to all the converging lines. The detail of the metal frame and floorboards is extraordinary! I also love the multiple leading lines, which are well centered in the composition. Congratulations on winning a place among the top ten, and thank you for entering my contest!

This image is a fine of example of a classic vanishing point perspective. What makes this one eye catching is the balanced composition and those interesting lines on the road. Congratulations on winning a place among the top ten, and thank you for entering my contest!

Several contest entries featured this bridge, and I can see why; you have uniquely shaped walls along with vertical and horizontal leading lines converging into the center of a terrific composition. All the entries that featured this bridge were well done, but I chose this one because I liked the metallic blue color that dominates the image as well as the precise centering of converging leading lines. I also appreciate the description of how the photographer processed this image to create such sharp clean details. Congratulations on winning a place among the top ten, and thank you for entering my contest!

This image stood out from among a crowded field of terrific entries on several levels. The first thing that grabs you are the multiple lines of light converging to a central point. Then you notice the sharp clarity of the stationary objects as well as the blurred motion of the Ferris wheel. I love the starburst lights, too. The exposure is perfect for achieving all these components in the image. I have not experimented much with long exposure, so images like this one impress me much! All in all, a beautiful photo that meets the brief and then some. Congratulations on winning a place among the top ten, and thank you for entering my contest!

I love everything about this image. The iron rails of the train track seem to meet on the horizon; it looks like it goes on for miles before disappearing from view. I also love the color palette of warm tones as well as low-lying sunlight to create a most interesting atmosphere. Truly an eye-catcher! Congratulations on winning a place among the top ten, and thank you for entering my contest!

Wow, I didn't know there were any places in Peru this flat! We hear a lot about the mountains of Peru, but not about its plains. This single train track cuts through the expanse straight as an arrow. Though I prefer a subject of this nature to be perfectly centered in the scene, it is nonetheless a beautiful example of lines that seem to go on for miles and converge on the horizon. I was also very drawn to the color tones and lighting from a low-lying sun that create an appropriate atmosphere of loneliness. I also must note that I am impressed with the photographer's ability to shoot this image from the back of a moving train, not an easy feat. Congratulations on winning a place among the top ten, and thank you for entering my contest!

I have always been fascinated by compositions of leading lines converging together on a horizon, either outdoors on a street, or a tunnel or even a large room. Vanishing points add depth to an image; they can make for very interesting compositions that draw you into the picture. Show me your best photos of vanishing points. They can be processed any way you wish in color or black and white.

I love the abstract quality of this image! I like how the leading lines converge off center, which seem to work well for this particular type of composition. I also find the multiple leading lines very interesting to look at. Congratulations on winning a place among the top ten, and thank you for entering my contest!
