Crikey, I feel like I am playing hide and seek with a ladybird that hasn't quite got the art of hiding! The vibrant green drew my eye into the image where I find my eye hit with the gorgeous rich red. Though there's not much red there's just the right amount to keep you there and to see all the amazing, pin sharp detail that the ladybird has. I like the addition of the second empty stem as it not only gives interest but a size comparison too. A creative image. Well done.

This is a very well seen image. The detail in the two beetles is incredible and pin sharp. I like how despite them being green they still stand out against the green leaves. Having the beetles towards the bottom left corner, leaving lots of space around them and into the image for me makes everything come together brilliantly. Along with this the space being this large shows just how small these beetles are in their environment. A cracking image. Well done.
WOW, what a great way to show the size of this tiny jumping spider. The face on the Lego man is funny and for me adds to the image. It's like the Lego man is angry with the spider for landing on his helmet. The image is pin sharp and fills the frame really well. The spider has wonderful detail too. Well done.
Well, Wow! What an image. I like how you have thought outside the box. The angle you've taken this from is cracking. I might be still trying to work out what all the parts are and where they are too but I am hooked. This is smashing. The image keeps you looking at it. It's like the leafhopper has captured me and wont let go. The creature is pin sharp and well positioned in the frame too. A great image full of fun and intrigue. Well done.
Crumbs, is this beetle doing ballet or taking off? For me it could be either. The position of the beetle's legs and other parts are just crazy. I like the way it has one leg touching the stem as, for me, it makes the image work really well. The beetle is pin sharp and very well composed as it has space to move into. A lovely image. Well done.

WOW, this image makes an impact. The bright yellow flower draws you in and wow, what a surprise you get. A bee absolutely covered in pollen, which clearly knows how to stand out against the crowd! I like the way a second tinier beetle appears to be hitching a ride on its wing. It almost looks like the bee was sunglasses on. A humorous, well seen and pin sharp image. Well done.

For this contest I am looking for your colour photos of any type of very small living creature. The largest creature allowed is a bee and anything smaller is even better. Colour images only please. Please no names or watermarks on your image as judging in anonymous. I look forward to seeing your entries.
WOW, I like the fluffy dandelion and how it makes the little weevil appear to be walking on a cloud. The weevil shines amazingly in the bright light. The colour of it is incredible and iridescent. I like the way you have positioned the dandelion in a corner as you've allowed room behind the little weevil. Not sure if weevils fly but the room gives space for flight or any movement it may make. A peaceful, pin sharp image with great colours, tones and contrast. Well done.
