This is truly a rare classic to see! Today, we have amazing tvs, and we may not recall how it started. From the "Radio Times", I assume the tv dates from the early 1950s. It is beautifully lit, and the composition includes the antenna as well as the reading material. Another well done vintage image. Congratulations on your Top 10 in Vintage and Antique Objects.
This vintage food mill must have been a work saver for cooks in the 1930s. The image has been well constructed, showing the detail of the mill as well as potatoes in various stages of being processed. The inclusion of the Passe-Vite instruction pamphlet is a nice addition, both in information and colour. The softness of the photo adds greatly to the atmosphere of vintage. Congratulations on your Top 10 in Vintage and Antique Objects.
Another popular category was telephones, and this is a lovely example. The image is uncluttered, with the telephone as the complete focus. The lighting is carefully done, and highlights the dial so the viewer understands the vintage qualities. Well done and congratulations on your Top 10 in Vintage and Antique Objects.
Many thanks to everyone who entered Vintage and Antique Objects. There were so many wonderful images and it's wonderful to see all these amazing and preserved objects.
Judging was a challenge, but this image of a classic gramophone stands out for a few reasons. The composition is excellent, and it shows that it is a working gramophone, as the needle connecting to the spinning disc shows. The details on the needle head are clear so as to identify the brand, which was significant in its time. The viewer can see the needle on the moving record clearly, as well as get a sense of the gramophone even without seeing the horn-like speaker. The muted colours give it an aged glow, reflecting the vintage aspect of the scene. Well done, and congratulations on 1st Place!

As we are all photographers, the most popular category of entries was certainly cameras. It was wonderful to see so many vintage cameras preserved and treasured.
This image is a story of someone planning a trip, with a map and pen, along with a compass. The film camera is a rare example of a Pontiac Lynx, made in France beginning in 1938. The image comes together well, with a smooth palette of blended colours along with selected focus. The rest of the story would be, who was the owner of this special camera? Congratulations on your Top 10 in Vintage and Antique Objects.
