Vintage Cameras

A beautifully made plate camera, a piece of art in itself. This is a great detail image showing the workings of the lens with a very intricate exposed mechanism. I love the use of wood and brass and those wonderful bellows.

A couple of classic examples of vintage photography equipment set against a collection of old photos and albums. This image has a great feel to it which is enhanced by the use of black and white with a nice silver finish. As with a lot of the cameras in this competition they are family heirlooms.

A beautiful example of an old movie camera which you can imagine being used on a Hollywood film set. This is a well produced image giving us a view of the business end which is pretty daunting with it's array of lenses.

A fascinating history surrounding this camera, nice to see old equipment passed down and still being used. I love the lighting and set up of this image showing one of the backs for it and the flash with some nice reflected star bursts.
