Water sports

This image stood out the most to me as it's so different from everything else. By stripping the colour out of the shot it immediately catches your eye and the striking contrast in light and shadow add drama and mystery to the picture. I love the simplicity of the photo: the swimmer's profile, his reflection and a few surrounding ripples lit up while everything around him is in total darkness. It gives the subject room to breathe and makes you question where he is, which keeps bringing you back to search for more clues. A dynamic shot, well done!
