Wide Open Expanses of the USA

I have seen this image on many briefs and it's no surprise why it frequently finishes well. This looks well timed to capture the soft light from the sun as well as the mist enveloping the dome which I assume is El Capitan. What also stood out was the sharpness of the grass covered rocks in the foreground leading up to the treeline on the left. Also great contrasting tones through the whole image. It's very hard to shoot a canyon at this height and still manage to give it depth. You've achieved this as well as creating a visually stunning image. Nice moody clouds in the distance as well as soft tones make this shot very easy on the eye. Congratulations on making my top ten

What a great image. This flows very nicely from the right, through the foreground and then into the distance. Very beautifully composed. The rich blue sky compliments this image well as giving the viewer an idea of the altitude due to this image being captured above the cloud line. This also feels desolate without feeling lonely. I feel I would be in my element here. Congratulations on a stunning image

The obvious feature of the sun rays bursting through the distant clouds are what brought this image to my attention. Not only does it add a certain mood but it also highlights the depth of the shot. Very soft tones compliment this image. Also nicely captured without blowing the image highlights. Well done on making my top ten
