Wild Birds of Prey

This photo stood out very early on for me. I'm used to seeing photos of birds of prey attacking each other which I love, however this picture of the birds of prey attacking and competing with the heron really stood out to me as something different. The photo itself has good focus and the colours are beautiful. It's captured what I created this contest for - seeing birds of prey in the wild. Overall this was definitely my winner!

I was drawn to this picture straight away. I love how the hawk is looking straight at the camera as it really draws your focus and really makes you appreciate the stunning colours of the eyes. I love how the background is blurred to put all the focus onto this beautiful bird!
