Wild Eagles (NO Bald Eagles)

Unlike most raptors that look fierce and enjoy the act of catching and eating its prey this eagle almost looks sorrowful as it stares at this dead fox. The depth of focus and fuzzy white snow that surrounds you subjects adds to that feeling of sorrow.

The pleasing warm colors surrounding this photo really emphasizes the two reddish-brown eagles in the photo. Most eagle photographs I see have a backdrop of a blue sky and I prefer your photo with warm tones. I can tell that this takes place either near sunrise or sunset which add to your story. The background is perfectly blurred to make you subject pop. Great photo.

This photo stood out to me in that it is an artistically creative take on photographing an eagle. While most times you would like to get your subject's face in the photo this is the rare exception where that doesn't matter.

What a stellar photo! I don't think this photo would have been as great if the eagle wasn't looking directly at you. I love the environmental background that adds to the photos story. By showing the antelope you come to release just how powerful these eagles are to be able to take down such large prey.

Please enter photographs of eagles in the wild. Photographs of eagles in captivity or Bald Eagles will not be allowed. Bald Eagles are magnificent raptors, but I would like to see photographs of the different species of eagles found around the world. Be creative and have fun.
