I love the look of what looks like a Foal as she takes shelter from the rest of the herd and poses for the photographer. The B&W conversion works well and the blurry stripes of the herd in the foreground and the background made sure my eyes were fixated on the Foal's mesmerising facial stripes

Congratulations on 3rd

When I first saw this image I thought the photographer had made a mirror. I like the simplicity of this image. The subtle B&W tones and the blurry background gives a sense of the vastness of the Oryx's habitat.

Congratulations on 8th

I love this Chamois looking over his shoulder for the photographer. The photo gives a sense of the goat's habitat - the rocky mountains and steep cliffs. The velvety look of the grass, the soft background, the lichens and the moss on the rocks add to the habitat

There were a lot of photos of Omnivores such as Squirrels, Chipmunks, Bears, Birds, Apes & Primates. There were photos of animals in captivity and farm animals. I have not considered these photos in my judging.

This is a stunning backlit / rim lit photo of this buck running. The photographer has done a great job in exposing this photo and getting an excellent low angle.

Congratulations on the Win

This Cape Buffalo has a really sad pathetic look about him. Maybe he's annoyed by the rain. The photographer has done an excellent job in getting this amazing angle, a sharp photo and a nice blurry green background

What appealed to me about this photo is the perfectly aligned Hippos. The left eyes and ears are directly behind each other, as is the right side eyes and ears. Their snouts are perfectly aligned as well. The photographer has excelled with the low angle and the green bokeh

Congratulations on 6th

The photographer has caught the perfect moment of this White Rhino with all four legs in the air. I wonder what she was doing? Is this the way they run? Or was she startled by something that made her take off?

The photographer has done a great job in tracking the Impala and catching him in mid air. A high shutter speed has ensured a tack sharp photo. I wonder if the Impala was practising his long jump skills or was spooked by something

This a an amazing landscape of the Mara. The Giraffes are all looking towards the photographer. The solitary Acacia and the brewing storm clouds make a dramatic image. The landscape crop works well

This is an amazing photo of the Elephants roaming the savannas. The photographer has got into an excellent position to take these Elephants marching head on and catching the near perfect moment with their ears flapping outwards

Congratulations on 5th
