Wild Landscape

A strong composition that uses the rule of thirds well. The sky is dramatic and the clouds have created some inviting formations. For me the final result is a tad over processed and I prefer a more natural look however we all have different tastes. Great work.

The intensity of this seascape is rich with drama and emotion. The impressive cloud formation and lighting conditions have been artfully captured in this simple but highly effective composition. The monochromatic treat works extremely well and the 'fullness' of the dark tones and the delicate handling of the highlights is a delight to see.

This is one of the most beautiful and mysterious woods in the world. However, despite its beauty, it's extremely difficult to photograph. To make visual sense out of the near chaotic arrangement trees, ferns, rocks, colours and textures is very difficult. Misty conditions help and the photographer was lucky with the weather but also skilled to capture the atmosphere.

The delicate pastel pallet has been superbly captured and handled with skill, along with the subtle tonality. The sailing boat with the red sails contrasts and complements the scene perfectly and creates a good sense of scale. The position of the boat artfully captures the spirit of adventure in the wild landscape. The 'echo' of shapes between the boat and the iceberg also adds to overall harmony of the scene. Great work!
