Whilst it is often the colour of the animals on our planet that defines them and wows the viewer, presenting them in black and white has a power of its own. It can focus attention more on their characters, the form of their bodies, and their surrounding habitat. Some colour toning of imagery is fine in this contest, as long as the image remains monotone, and the definition of wildlife excludes any domesticated or farmed animals.
