Windows

April 2022

I like how the photographer has used an ordinary scene to tell a story of urban living. The pops of colour give interest and the light catches the windows to emphasise all of the different accommodations. I really like the contrast of curtains and colours. Clever and interesting image.

I really like the simplicity and the bold contrasting colours of this image. The cloud against the vivid blue sky gives texture against the clear and sharp lines. An interesting and well balanced image. A simple yet effective interpretation of the theme. Well done.

I was drawn to this image as the windows and the contrast are hypnotic. I like that the photographer has elected not to crop the image and allow the wider version to entered as I feel that this gives a feeling of scale and draws the viewer in. Clever and interesting - well done.

Meet the expert judge

I really like this image of silhouettes through the various lit windows. Every window tells a story of an interaction. I like that the photographer has elected to make this image black and white which gives it an aged and vintage feel. Very nice image - well done.
