Windows (in colour)

Looking up is a popular viewpoint for skyscrapers but this photo stood out. The warm colors on the buildings juxtaposed with the cool colors of the windows and sky gives it a balanced contrast. Great image, and congratulations on 5th Place in Windows (in colour)!

This monk in a window of an ancient temple portrays a totally peaceful scene. The viewer may think the monk is meditating or contemplating the nature scene he is viewing as he sits on the windowsill. With the light shining through this old window, and the soft colors, this is a very calming image. There were myriad church photos in this contest but this one stood out with its ancient stones and new candles. The old lead glass is evocative of the past. Lovely! I love this cat nap! There were many cat in the window photos submitted, but I found this one to be especially delightful. This sweet tabby is comfortable and oblivious to the photographer. The side angle of view along with including a bit of the stairs provides a glimpse of how the building could be situated. Congratulations on 3rd Place in Windows (in colour)!
