Working Dogs

Love this study of the hounds, intense concentration on their faces and the black and white image adds to the story. You also get a real sense of depth in the photo with the slightly out of focus hound stood at the back.

Lovely capture of a dog doing what they were bred to do, with both the bird and dog nicely in focus, you get a real sense of the speed of the dog with just the right amount of crop to see some of the environment the dog is working in.

Love this black and white image of the collie in the barley, great contrast between the softness of the crop and the darkness of the dog, looks like he's concentrating on something just behind the camera as not looking directly down the lens.

Love the similar colour of the cattle and grass contrasting with the blue sky and dark brown of the dog, a couple of the young bullocks don't look like they appreciate a dog running through them while others don't seem to care great capture.

What a lovely capture of the dogs' expression as they retrieve the duck in the water. You get a real sense of the speed the dog is moving through the water with both the dog and duck nicely in focus
