Yawns

Among the many photos of cats (of all dimensions, big or small) yawning, this is my favourite. Centered, sharp, with the subject well contrasted against the black background. And with the mouth wide open in a majestic yawn, of course!

Another double yawning in this nice picture of two lazy big cats under a acacia tree. The photo is sharp and well-constructed, for being a nature photo which captures the exact moment of the yawning. Very good, I like it!

This photo takes a well-deserved place in my Yawning Top Ten for the nice construction and the vintage atmosphere given by the old sewing machine in the background. Personally, in post-production I would have removed the power cord, which is an element of distraction in the picture.

Most of the ‘spontaneous’ photos depicting humans yawning are carefully constructed, instead, and this one does not make an exception. But we like to think that the young girl was really bored during the pose, destroying with her yawn the glamour atmosphere of the picture. Photography is fiction, indeed….

May be is a roar and not a yawn, as suggested by the title of the photo. In any case, it looks like a yawn. Even better, it looks as a double yawn! And we know how contagious a yawn can be...
