Your national cuisine

I picked this image as my number one, because it is a classic English cuisine, good old Bangers and Mash. This one has a great composition, good lighting with a nice sprinkling of fresh sage for added garnish. Well done for winning this contest.

I love this South African delicacy, biltong. Just looking at this makes my mouth water, which is what food photography is all about. Quite a busy shot with a good composition and great detail, with the crushed peppercorns. Well done in making it into my top 10.

With this image, I like the eye level angle in which it was taken and the way that the eyes are drawn to the cheese scone in the foreground with nice detailing and the focus falling off towards the ones in the background, along with the jar to balance the shot.

The stroopwafels and cream coated in drooling caramel looks absolutely delicious and has my mouth watering. It's a good eye level angle which makes it appear larger than it actually is and enhances the detail in the textured wafer along with the chocolate chunks. It really is very pleasing on the eye!

This is a well executed food image. It has a good symmetrical composition with an array of multiple colours, along with a sprinkling of ingredients which are more pronounced on the dark background. Well done for making my top 10.
