This image would have made my top 10 but for a few factors, i love the composition and the framing but i would like to have seen the image a lot sharper especially the trunk of the elephant, a faster shutter speed and f-stop around f7.1 would have helped achieve this even taking the ISO higher to give the image more light
I really love the framing of this image it tells me a story the Jaguar in his kingdom its like he is saying this is my domain, the use of B&W as far more impact in my eyes than it would if it were in colour its sharp in all the right places and the vignette of the framing like you are candidly watching him from afar well done to the photographer

**This contest is open to photographers ranked 1000+ in this week’s Leaderboard.** Giving us an up-close opportunity to photograph a wide variety of exotic and interesting animals, zoos and safari parks are a great place to spend time with your camera, and don’t require super-long lenses to get intimate shots. There can be questions over the ethicality of poorly run and financed zoos and safari parks, but when done well they are great for education, and often have important breeding programs for endangered species. Any zoo and safari park animal images are welcome in the contest, as are images of zoos and safari parks more broadly, that may not even have animals in the picture.
