Chris Hester

I am an amateur photographer from West Yorkshire in England. I have been using cameras ever since the late 1970s when I got a Boots Instamatic camera! I progressed to a Praktica MTL-3 SLR in the 1980s using film. My first digital camera was in 2001 and was a Fuji compact. I loved carrying a camera around with me and took thousands of shots ever since. Now I rely on my phone as it seems to capture a scene just right. I like to study the work of other photographers a lot for inspiration in this and other sites. I'm also a dab hand with Photoshop Elements on the PC and Snapseed on the phone. Nowadays I try to limit the amount of photos I take so I can spend less time processing them. I am also a member of my local camera club where I once gave a talk on street photography, one of my passions, along with modelling and still life.
