In my childhood I spent many hours in a dark room developing 35mm film and printing my own photographs. This was never an aspect of photography I particularly enjoyed but it was a necessity in the pre-digital age to keep costs down. Returning to photography a few years ago it was fantastic to be able to take a large number of pictures, with instant results, no post processing costs and no time needed in the dark room! I now get to spend all of my time on the artistic side of taking photographs, a great result. Another great step forward is the ability to share, receive feedback and review the work of other photographers via Photocrowd.
