I've been 'into' photography since 2008. Originally drawn in by the lure of taking stunning landscape photography I soon found out it wasn't that easy and that the amazing photography that inspired me to pick up a camera took a bit of effort to achieve. Nevertheless, I spent plenty of time learning landscape photography techniques and putting them in to practice to try and get somewhere near the quality of the photos I wanted to achieve. I visited some amazing places while doing this; the Lake District is a personal favourite, and Iceland is a place so close to my heart. I also dabbled in portraiture, attending lighting masterclasses with legends such as Zack Arias and Damien Lovegrove. Out of the back of this I spent a year or two doing wedding photography, before eventually retiring and becoming (self-proclaimed) Leicester's finest sock photographer (don't ask!). But it's the landscapes that keep drawing me back, and that's where my passion lies. I've been published in a lot of the UK based photography magazines, such as Practical Photography, Digital SLR Photography, Outdoor Photography, Amateur Photographer as well as being exhibited as part of the Royal Photographic Society's 2014 biennial.
