An engineer with an interest in mechanisms, especially if unusual. I'm a "happy snapper", taking shots of anything, mostly landscape or street photography. I adopted the micro four thirds standard so that my equipment could remain 'pocketable' but my collection has since grown and I'm now back to carrying a bag. My shots are largely documentary and usually cropped to 8x5 aspect ratio, even portraits, to fill my Mac screen. I believe that a good image is one that intrigues the eye and reveals more as it is studied in detail. The better ones will have pleasing colour, a sharp focus, and good composition. Good images are incomplete without a title and the best images will have a good one (although that may not always be so easy to accomplish). Photography is one of my many interests and Photocrowd inspires me to explore it further.
