Tinarie creations is a Culminating Life Event. I am telling the story of my life through my artwork. I have been told, by many people over the years, to write my story. I didn’t decide to try or start, until I had an accident, that changed the course of my life forever. I started making the fairies as a self-help therapy and have continued to move positively and productively forward. I am getting better and better. Focusing on the positive brings more positive. I am hoping in telling my story, and how I have overcome tragedy in my life, others with know and believe they can too! I learned to use a camera by taking pictures, for my artist mother, who needed original photos to work from. She took me to many Native American events and set me loose with her camera. I was a outgoing and loved talking to people and taking pictures. A lot has changed in photography since then and it has taken a lot of work for me to try and catch up!) My costumes start as thrift store dresses. I learned sewing from my older sister, who is an amazing seamstress. I grew up in severe poverty and got most of my clothing from the Goodwill donation box. I would wait until dark, sneak in with a flashlight and pick out clothes, then remake them for my little sister and best friend. This is the story behind my costumes. I have a million stories, but you will have to wait to hear them all. I hope to someday put my story into written form and call it, “In Transforming Myself, Others Are Transformed: The Butterfly Effect- A Biography To Inspire.
